Pray, tell me how one loses ones marriage certificate when it hasn't left the house in months?

I know I had it when we booked our flights to the US since it was tucked away in my passport, and I had to get out my passport to book them--but for the life of me I can't remember where I put it down at. I'm scared that it just got thrown out since it'd be the one-off chance that Steve or Iain would actually pick up stuff and throw it out, but I'm pretty damn sure Steve would of checked to see what it was before potentially tossing it in the trash.

I'd really like to know where it's at--I can get another copy when we go to visit in April, but I'd like to have it when I fly. Yes, I didn't want to hand more money to the State Department to change my name since I have a good 8-9 years left on my passport, but it *has* to be in this house somewhere. I just don't know where else to look :(

Oh, and the shower is broken--awesome, I know. It's the second time it's broken in the five months I've been here, since I remember an electrician coming around the second week I was here to fix the switch. We think it's the switch again, since it takes *a lot* of effort to pull it, and the power to the shower won't turn on. The plus side is that all this is covered by Servite Houses, so there's no charge, but they're infamous for the 'well come out on X' day and they won't, then they'll phone you to reschedule for 3 months later.

I'm obviously cranky since I need to take a bath, and I hate taking them--they're far more effort for me than it's worth. It makes it a bitch to wash my hair, but I also don't like going more than a couple days without washing my hair, so I have to make do.

But, I should get my ass ready, I have a minor shopping list tonight for dinner--Steve's making his chili, complete with the beef and ale sausages we fell in love with at Aldi. Might also pick up a couple things for Pancake Day as well since they'll have a sale on for it, but nothing will get done if I sit around here : /
